The new students of 2023 Chinese and Foreign High-level College Student Exchange Program (hereinafter referred to as CFEP) gathered at a welcoming meeting on the afternoon of September 14, attended by Liu Yitong, the Greater China officer of Macquarie University in Australia, and Fu Chaopeng, Deputy Director of National Operation Center of CFEP, together with the heads of the International Exchange Office, the School of Economics and Management, and the Department of Land Resources and Environment, with the students’ parents watching the meeting on line.
Ms. Wu Weiping, Director of the Office of International Exchange, congratulated and warmly welcomed all the students, and briefly introduced the development of the university, faculty strength, disciplinary advantages and talent cultivation. Mr. Liu Yitong introduced Macquarie University on line, and expressed his expectation for the students to study and live in Macquarie University. Afterwards, Mr. Weng Zhenlin, Dean of School of Economics and Management, and Mr. Huang Huajun, Vice Dean of School of Land Resources and Environment, delivered speeches on behalf of the university, expressing that great importance is attached to the CFEP program, and hoping that the students will set up their life goals as early as possible after entering the university.
Yang Shiyun, a student of School of Environmental Science and Engineering, shared her learning and achievements in the past year, as well as the suggestions of IELTS, UNILINK courses and professional courses, and expressed her great anticipation for the next two years of study and life in Macquarie University. Two officials of the National Operation Center of CFEP introduced the cultivation mode, cultivation objectives, course articulation and preparation for going abroad, and answered the questions that students were generally concerned about.
