Jiangxi Agricultural Product Processing and Safety Control Engineering Laboratory(JXAPPSCEL)was establishedbythe Provincial Strategic Emerging Industry Innovation PlatformfromJiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission in 2012, and passed the assessment of the Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission in 2019. Thelaboratory is supported by Jiangxi Agricultural University. Jiangxi Agricultural University is one of the first universities in China to confer bachelor’s and master’s programs and the first university in Jiangxi to confer postgraduate programs.
JXAPPSCELhas six research laboratories, containingAnimal Product Processing and Storage, Fruit and Vegetable Processing and Preservation, Grain and Oil Processing, Agricultural Product Resource Development and Utilization, Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Testing, and Functional Food Research and Safety Assessment.Furthermore, the laboratory mainly focuses on the processing, storage, and preservation ofprimary agricultural products in Jiangxi Province, the development and utilization of agricultural resources, and the research and development of agricultural product quality and safety testing.These programs are used toimproveandservelocaleconomicconstruction, such as provincial personnel training, deep-processing technologyof food, comprehensiveutilizationtechnology, andfoodquality and safety levels. In addition, the totallaboratory area of JXAPPSCEL is 7300m2,whichpossess 163 units (sets)experimental equipmentwith atotal value of 19.4555 million yuan.We have trained over 200 master's graduates and guided more than 10provincialexcellent masters. Moreover,in the past 5 years,thelaboratory is currently researching over 80 national and provincial-level projects,andpublishesabout 600 papersin high-level journalsand nearly100nationalpatents.
