1. Exploration and functional analysis of genes/proteins related to growth and stress-resistant trait of economic freshwater fish species, breeding new varieties of freshwater economic fish

2. Exploration and functional analysis of genes/proteins related to fish body color and research the molecular mechanism, create new ornamental fish varieties using bioengineering technology

3. Molecular mechanism analysis of fish sex regulation, germ cell transplantation, and construct allogeneic reproductive pathway

4. Evaluation of local characteristic aquatic germplasm resources, seedling breeding and aquaculture technology promotion
