Huirong Mao (August 1982 - Present), Doctor, Associate Professor, as well as the deputy director of the Department of Animal Science.I have been responsible for teaching courses such as "Special Economic Animal Science," "Poultry Production," and "Animal Production," andI am engaged in research and social service work related to the exploration, conservation, and utilization of genetic resources of specialty poultry and local chicken breeds.I have successively led seven projects at the provincial (or higher) level, including two funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and four horizontal projects in which he participated. To date,I have published a total of 35 papers, including 10 SCI papers as either co-first or corresponding author.I hold five authorized patents, including three invention patents and have successfully applied for and had one national livestock and poultry genetic resource (the Xiushui Huangyu Black Chicken) certified.

I was awarded the title of "Youth Pioneer of Rural Revitalization in Jiangxi Province" in 2022, the second prize of the Jiangxi Province Graduate Teaching Achievement Award (3rd place), the first prize of the Jiangxi Agricultural University Graduate Teaching Achievement Award (3rd place), and the second prize (5th place).I received the title of Excellent Homeroom Teacher at Jiangxi Agricultural University twice (in 2018 and 2022) and was recognized as an Advanced Individual in "Three Educators" for the 2019-2022 academic year.I was honored as an Excellent Teacher at Jiangxi Agricultural University in 2019 and received the title of Advanced Worker at Jiangxi Agricultural University twice. For two consecutive years,Iwas awarded the First Prize in the "Dabeinong Teaching Reward Fund" by the college. Currently,I serve as a post expert in the Jiangxi Provincial Poultry Industry Technology System, Chief Expert of the Jiangxi Agricultural Technology Association’s Silkie chicken Technology Institute, a member of the International Poultry Science Association, and leader of the Jiangxi Provincial Scientific and Technological Special Commissioner for Livestock and Poultry in Taihe. Additionally,I hold social positions as the deputy secretary-general and executive director of the Jiangxi Provincial Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Association, and executive director of the Jiangxi Provincial Poultry Association.
