Huang Guoqin, male, born in October 1962, is from Yujiang District, Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province, China. Member of the Communist Party of China. He received a doctor's degree in agriculture from Nanjing Agricultural University in 1994, and engaged in post doctoral research at the Chinese Academy of Sciences Nanjing Institute of Soil Research from 1994 to 1996, and obtained a post doctoral certificate at the end of the period. He has visited the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Macau as a visiting scholar, senior visiting scholar, or for academic research and exchange.
He is currently the director of the Ecological Science Research Center at Jiangxi Agricultural University, the leader of the discipline of agricultural ecology, a second level professor, and a doctoral supervisor.
He mainly engages in teaching and research work in crop Geoponics (Agroprinology), agricultural ecology, and the theory and practice of sustainable agricultural development. He has presided over and participated in over 100 scientific research projects (topics, themes) at the national, provincial, and other levels. He has published over 700 papers in academic journals and conferences both domestically and internationally. He has published 100 textbooks, monographs, and collections of papers, including "Geoponics", "Chinese Geoponics", "Agricultural Ecology", and "Introduction to Sustainable Agricultural Development. He guided the training of 140 postdoctoral, doctoral, and master's students. He has won over 100 awards including Teaching Achievement Award, Science and Technology Achievement Award, Excellent Paper/Textbook/Book Award, and Personal Honor Award.
He was awarded a special government allowance by the State Council in 1997.
