The "Agricultural, Rural, and Farmer" (San Nong) Issues Research Center at Jiangxi Agricultural University was established in July 2002. The center was reorganized based on the Agricultural Economics Research Institute, consolidating resources from across the university. While rooted in Jiangxi, it aims to address issues nationwide and has been conducting long-term research on agriculture, rural development, and farmers' concerns. The center provides a foundation for decision-making and intellectual support in Jiangxi’s efforts to build a strong modern agricultural province, promote ecological civilization, and achieve a moderately prosperous society. In 2006, the San Nong Issues Research Center was designated by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education as a key research base for philosophy, humanities, and social sciences in Jiangxi's higher education institutions. The center has developed three distinct research areas: institutional economics in agriculture and rural development, resource management in agriculture and rural areas, and industrial economics in agriculture and rural development, each with unique features and a strong research foundation.
