Xiao Lan, a Ph.D., serves as an associate professor and master's supervisor. She has been a visiting scholar at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As the lead for the provincial first-class quality course "English Public Speaking," she specializes in teaching a range of English Master's Courses and English undergraduates' courses, including English Public speaking and English Debate, English Phonetics, English Curriculum and Teaching Theory, and English Reading. Since embarking on her teaching career, she has been awarded second prize in the National Competition for Ideological and Political Teaching of Foreign Language Courses and has garnered numerous accolades, such as "Excellent Teacher of the School." Her primary research interests encompass English curriculum standards and textbook analysis, discourse analysis, the integration of ideological and political education in foreign language curriculum, and foreign language basic education research. She has successfully undertaken and completed several provincial and university-level social science research projects and has published over twenty academic papers.
