Schools
In 2008, we established School of Foreign Languages, encompassing English and Japanese, along with two College English teaching departments. Notably, English and Japanese have emerged as prestigious majors in Jiangxi Province, securing the 4thposition (out of 33 candidates) and the 3rdposition (out of 17 candidates) respectively, as per the 2021 assessment conducted by the higher education authorities of Jiangxi Province. Additionally, our postgraduate program in English education, initiated in 2017, has been designated as a priority subject within Jiangxi Agricultural University.
Our faculty comprises 88 members, including 4 professors and 19 associate professors. Notably, over 40% of our teachers possess overseas work or study experiences or even have pursued further studies abroad.
We boast comprehensive teaching and training facilities, catering to simultaneous interpreting, international trade, international business negotiation, and business English practice. Furthermore, we maintain a library, language labs, microteaching classrooms, and self-learning classrooms to facilitate our students’learning.
Our teaching and research endeavors have yielded remarkable achievements, including 7 national teaching awards, 2 top teaching awards at the provincial level, and a dozen first and second provincial awards. Notably, our national teaching team has garnered acclaim for the online course series,“An Insight into Chinese Agricultural Civilization”and“An Insight into Chinese Agricultural Civilization--Chinese Idioms,”which were approved by the Ministry of Education in 2021 and in 2023 respectively. To date, we have undertaken over 100 national and provincial research projects. Our efforts have been recognized by the provincial government, as we were the sole higher education institution in Jiangxi Province to be awarded for Women’s Day in 2016.
As an esteemed team for employment guidance, we prioritize our students’future careers. A significant proportion of our master’s graduates serve as college or high school teachers, while others pursue further studies domestically or internationally. Our graduates predominantly find employment in sectors such as trade, education, foreign affairs, tourism, news media, among others.
