Pan Zhigang, male, a member of the Jiu San Society, is an associate professor and the dean of the Chinese Department. He holds a Ph.D. in Chinese Linguistics and Philology and serves as a council member of the Jiangxi Language Society. His academic journey spans Wugang Normal School, Hunan Normal University, Guangxi Normal University, and Sichuan University. Since 2010, he has been working at the College of Humanities and Public Administration, Jiangxi Agricultural University.
His primary research interests are the history of Chinese vocabulary and grammar. Professor Pan has publicly published 19 academic papers, with 5 of them being included in CSSCI-indexed journals. He is the author of a monograph titled "A Study on Chinese Conjunctions in the Wei, Jin, Southern, and Northern Dynasties." He has led and completed one Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Planning project and participated in one National Social Science Foundation project. For his contributions, he has received the Third Prize for Outstanding Social Science Achievements in Jiangxi Province.
Throughout his career, Professor Pan has been recognized for his excellence in education, winning titles such as "Advanced Worker in the Three-Educate Initiative" and "Excellent Class Advisor" at the university level. Additionally, he has been honored as an outstanding supervisor for guiding students to achieve excellent graduation theses on two occasions.
