French Officials Visit JXAU

The morning of October 25th saw visiting French officials, including Prof. Frédéric JIGUET of the French Museum of Natural History, Dr. Brice Lefaux, Director of the Management Park of the Zoological and Botanical Park of Mulhouse, Mr. M. Maxime FERAILLE, Science and Education Attaché of the Consulate General of France in Wuhan, Mr. M. Julien SAINT-SEVIN and Ms. Li Shanshan, Science and Education Program Officers.

President Wei Fuwen, on behalf of the university, welcomed them and introduced the general situation of the university, hoping that both sides could carry out in-depth scientific and technological cooperation in the field of agriculture and ecological protection in the future. Mr. M. Maxime FERAILLE expressed his gratitude for the invitation and hoped that this exchange could open a new chapter of scientific research between China and France.

Afterwards, Prof. Frédéric JIGUET made a presentation on bird migration and conservation ecology to the teachers and students of the Key Laboratory of Conservation Biology. Together, they had a warm discussion on the future cooperative research on bird migration, plant and animal classification, and the breeding of artificial populations of blue-crowned thrush, as well as the joint cultivation of postgraduate students.
